Meghan Markle’s sister finally apologizes

Meghan Markle‘s sister, Samantha, issued a half-hearted public apology to the Duchess of Sussex for constantly blasting her in the press.

“I would just say that there is so much water under the bridge and so much has spun out of control that was never intended to,” Samantha, 53, said on the “Jeremy Vine” show on Monday. “And you know, I think everybody was hurt not being included or invited to the wedding, but I felt as though it could have all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included, and we all just agreed to move forward with positive resolve. The hurt feelings wouldn’t have snowballed, but believe it or not, it doesn’t mean that we love you any less, I just think that families can be this way when there’s confusion and people are hurt. So moving forward, I apologize and wish things could be different.”

It’s the first public display of good will Samantha has made towards her former “Suits” starlet sister, perhaps as a result of signing publicist Robert Cooper to her payroll.

Samantha has attempted to visit with Meghan, 37, at Kensington Palace, Cooper revealed, but the Duchess (whom Samantha only recently referred to as “duchASS”) hasn’t responded to their requests to meet.

Last week, Cooper tweeted, “Samantha Markle is coming to the UK. After making numerous attempts in private to arrange a one on one meeting with The Duchess of Sussex to discuss their 74 year old father’s health, Kensington Palace have refused to respond. I fear Meghan may not be made aware of these discreet attempts and therefore making this public is the only option we have left.”

“I currently have Samantha in Europe with just one short flight away. This DOESN’T need to be public, we would prefer to keep this private. Samantha is coming to the UK this week, like it or not,” he continued.

Meghan has been estranged from Samantha and their father, Thomas Markle, ever since Thomas was busted staging paparazzi photos at Samantha’s behest ahead of the royal wedding in May.

Meghan reportedly requested her father stop speaking to Samantha about the royals because Samantha previously admitted selling stories about Meghan to the press.

Thomas also admitted to lying to and hanging up on Prince Harry about his staged photo debacle.

As a result of the ongoing Markle family feud, only Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding.
