Kanye made Kim part-owner of Yeezy after she turned down $1M
Kanye West loves his wife Kim Kardashian so much he made her a part-owner of his Yeezy empire.
Speaking with Ashley Graham on her new podcast, “Pretty Big Deal,” Kardashian shared the bizarre circumstances that led her to go into business with her husband.
“A brand offered me a million dollars to do a post on, you know, some of their clothing,” the 37-year-old reality-TV starlet began. “And they typically, I don’t want to say who the brand is, but they typically knock off Yeezy.”
Kardashian contemplated saying yes because of the big offer, but she thought to confer with West, 41, first.
“He was like, ‘No, babe, I really don’t want you to do that,’” she added.
“It’s understandable, but that’s a lot of money!” Kardashian quipped.
Mother’s Day comes the next week and Kardashian gets a big surprise from her hubby.
The mother of three said that along with her flowers was a special envelope.
“I open the envelope and it’s a million-dollar check and it was a note saying, ‘Thank you for always supporting me and not posting,’” she recalled. “And then, in the rest of the envelope, it was a contract to be an owner of Yeezy and my percentage.”
If the act of generosity from West seems familiar, it’s because he gifted her hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock to various companies for Christmas.
Kardashian called West the “best husband” after the gift.
