Meghan Markle wears Princess Diana’s jewelry
Following the announcement that she and Prince Harry are starting their own royal family, Meghan Markle honored her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana, with a touching style tribute.
Kicking off her tour of Australia with Prince Harry, the pregnant Duchess of Sussex, 37, visited the Sydney Opera House in a classic white sheath dress by local designer Karen Gee ($1,285) and nude Stuart Weitzman pumps ($375) accessorized with a gold bracelet and diamond butterfly earrings from her late mother-in-law’s personal collection.
Markle kept the heirloom jewelry on for her second Australian engagement, pairing it with a pleated olive Brandon Maxwell shirtdress ($1,895) to attend a reception hosted by the Governor General at Admiralty House.
This isn’t the first time the Duchess of Sussex has dipped into the late Princess of Wales’ jewelry box: Her engagement ring from Prince Harry features diamonds once owned by Diana, and she wore her late mother-in-law’s aquamarine ring to her wedding reception in May.
