Meghan Markle matches the Fiji flag in a blue cape dress
For her first evening event in Fiji, Meghan Markle chose an outfit that honored the island nation itself.
The Duchess of Sussex, 37, continued her tour of the South Pacific on Tuesday, attending a state dinner hosted by the president of Fiji, Jioji Konrote, at the Grand Pacific Hotel.
The expecting royal wore a tulip-sleeved, cape-backed gown by London label Safiyaa in a shade of blue that almost perfectly matched the Fiji flag. Her delicate diamond drop earrings were borrowed (most likely from the Queen), according to Kensington Palace, and Markle also wore the diamond tennis bracelet she received from Prince Charles as a wedding gift.
But while the duchess’ jewels might be out of reach for mere mortals, there is some good news: Her dress, while still pricey at $1,431, is currently available for pre-order in sizes up to 14.
