Meghan Markle comforts emotional fan in New Zealand
Meghan Markle has the magic touch.
While greeting the crowd Sunday in Wellington, New Zealand, the Duchess of Sussex was said to have comforted an emotional fan, and “spent quite a while talking to the crying teen,” according to journalist Natalie Oliveri, who tweeted photos of the sincere moment.
Meghan, 37, who is pregnant with her first child, was also spotted speaking with a shy young boy, as she and husband Prince Harry continued to tour the town.
On Monday, the royal couple visited Abel Tasman National Park, which is located at the north end of New Zealand’s South Island. During their stay, dad-to-be Harry, 34, briefly referenced his and Meghan’s future bundle of joy.
“From myself and my wife and our little bump, we are so grateful to be here. We bring blessings from my grandmother the Queen and our family,” Harry said, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Kensington Palace confirmed Meghan’s pregnancy earlier this month, shortly after she and Harry kicked off their 16-day tour of Australia, Tonga, Fiji and New Zealand. They were greeted with baby gifts in Sydney, Australia.
“It’s great to be back in Australia, and especially even more so, this is my wife’s first trip here, so I’m very excited to show her this incredible country of yours,” Harry said in Sydney.
“We also, genuinely, couldn’t think of a better place to announce, uh, the upcoming baby, be it a boy or girl, so thank you very much,” he continued.
Meghan and Harry will welcome their first child next spring. The couple wed this past May.
