Ariana Grande covers up Pete Davidson tattoo for ‘Wicked’ performance
Ariana Grande‘s first performance since her split from Pete Davidson raised eyebrows.
While performing “The Wizard and I” for NBC’s “A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway,” which aired on Monday but was previously taped, Grande wore a bandage on her left ring finger, conveniently covering up the tattoo that reads “Pete.” It’s unclear if she had the tattoo removed, or if the bandage was simply a quick solution.
While together, Davidson and Grande got numerous tattoos for each other, including matching clouds and the acronym “H2GKMO,” but those were still visible on Grande’s hands. Meanwhile, Page Six previously revealed that the “Saturday Night Live” star had his “Dangerous Woman”-inspired bunny ears tattoo covered up with a large black heart.
Tattoo artist Jon Mesa, who covered up Davidson’s tattoo of ex-girlfriend Cazzie David, previously told The Post that he warned the comedian about getting new tattoos for his relationship with Grande. Although he hasn’t addressed Davidson’s ink since the split, he did reshare a photo of the Cazzie cover-up about two weeks ago and wrote, “Coverup I did for @petedavidson, new season of SNL has been hilarious, hope you’re well man.”
Davidson has canceled numerous appearances in the wake of the split, but did co-host the “Judd & Pete for America” benefit, where he broke his silence on the breakup.
“Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun,” Davidson joked. “I’m f–king zero for two in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is.”
