Lush releases Ariana Grande-inspired ‘God Is a Woman’ bath bomb
Ariana Grande is topping the charts — and now, your bathwater.
The singer’s “God Is a Woman” music video inspired millions of fans to beg beauty company Lush to create a bath bomb reminiscent of a scene in which Grande, 25, poses in a pool of purple water.
And finally, the idea has come to fruition: “Sweetener” fans can purchase the “Goddess” bath bomb ($9) in stores and online starting Nov. 22.
“Sent from above with heavenly notes of sensual oudh and rich sandalwood, Goddess’ precious ingredients will lift your mind to a higher plane and give you everlasting beautiful skin,” the company wrote in a press release.
“For those days when you need to be reminded how incredible you are, aphrodisiac jasmine, dreamy osmanthus and romantic rose oil provide relaxing and restorative properties while a heavenly trio of moisturization — fair trade organic cocoa butter, shea butter and liquid gold argan oil — envelop your body in creamy skin-softening silvery swirls.”
Lush’s lead product inventor Jack Constantine began working on the vegan, cruelty-free product almost immediately after Grande’s music video was released in July. He posted prototypes to his own Instagram page, demonstrating how the layered product would dissolve to flawlessly recreate the lavender, pink and blue waves painted by artist Alexa Meade.
And Grande herself gave the idea her stamp of approval in July. “omg @lushcosmetics i’ll do anything,” she tweeted.
It seems the pop star now has the perfect gift for everyone on her Christmas list.
