‘Disgusted’ Pete Davidson weighs in on Ariana Grande, Kanye West beef
Pete Davidson has chosen sides.
On Saturday afternoon Ariana Grande’s ex-fiancé took to Instagram to express that he’s “disgusted” by anyone “pointing fingers” at Kanye West’s candidness about his mental health, hours after the pop singer apologized for offending West amid his Twitter feud with Drake.
“Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health,” he wrote on Saturday. ”I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this.”
The “SNL” star, 25, who is open about his own struggles with mental health, added, “We need people like Kanye.”
And although he didn’t call out his ex by name, he made it clear that West should be left alone in how he copes.
“No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health,” he added. “I’m seriously disgusted.”
Grande apologized for possibly triggering West in her tweet acknowledging his drama with Drake, but also defended herself.
“with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period,” she wrote. “i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”
In a follow-up tweet, the “Thank u, next” singer said, “last thing. stop weaponizing mental health. everyone.”
Grande and Davidson called off their engagement in October.
