Before Bezos, Lauren Sanchez once dated NBA star Derek Fisher

Jeff Bezos’ lover Lauren Sanchez had an on-again-off-again romance with former LA Lakers star Derek Fisher, sources exclusively told Page Six, after she split from her NFL-star fiancé Anthony Miller.

A source told us: “Lauren was with Derek Fisher for a while [after] things went south with Anthony Miller. Then she traded up to ‘NYPD Blue’ star Henry Simmons, and they were engaged. Then she was getting married to Patrick Whitesell.”

Miller claims he met Sanchez at the Super Bowl in 1996 while she was covering the game.

He said of their four-year relationship: “I couldn’t really trust her. She gets around. She was cheating on me with other guys.” Sources close to Sanchez strongly denied his allegations, and claimed it was Miller who strayed.

Either way, we hear that after it ended, Sanchez was linked romantically with Fisher — the Lakers star who went on to become coach of the New York Knicks. Another source said they dated on and off when they were both single.

Sanchez married Hollywood power agent Whitesell in 2005. She also has a son with former NFL star Tony Gonzalez.

Fisher also got married in 2005, to Candace Fisher. They divorced in 2016. He is now engaged to “Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan — the ex-wife of his onetime teammate Matt Barnes. (Page Six exclusively reported in 2015 about a wild altercation between Fisher and Barnes over Govan.)

Fisher was hired last month as coach of the WNBA’s LA Sparks team. He played with the Lakers from 1996 to 2004, and after an 18-year career, became head coach of the Knicks, from 2014 to 2016.

Sanchez was thrust into the spotlight last week after being romantically linked to Amazon billionaire Bezos. They split from their respective spouses — Whitesell and MacKenzie Bezos — sometime last year. Reps for Sanchez and Fisher did not comment.
