Rihanna says tiny sunglasses are officially over
The verdict is in: The tiny sunglasses trend is dead.
At least according to consummate fashion plate Rihanna, who over the past few days has ditched her usual small shades in favor of a huge, face-obscuring pair from her Fenty brand.
The pop star, 30, was seen outside the Sound of Brazil nightclub in New York City on Monday wearing her new favorite sunglasses with a black oversized blazer, neon green long-sleeved shirt, black suede leggings with what appeared to be attached boots and a $3,889 Dior crocodile Dioraddict Small Lockbox Bag.
But the shades aren’t some passing fancy: The “Wild Thoughts” singer also stepped out in the same pair on Monday, teaming the structural, red-tinted frames with a white pullover, oversized pinstriped double-breasted blazer and a huge pair of jeans.
Clearly, Rihanna wasn’t cc’d on Kanye West’s “no more big sunglasses” memo — or if she was, she promptly deleted the email.
