Dr. Barbara Sturm's $1,000 MC1 Blood Cream might just be the biggest beauty hit in Hollywood. Sturm, who also created the so-called vampire facial, makes the produce especially for her A-list clients by extracting their own blood before running it through a centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich plasma, which is then mixed into the cream. The final product is purported to have serious rejuvenating and anti-inflammatory properties — and celebs can’t get enough.

While Cher has never spoken about using the MC1 cream specifically, she is largely responsible for launching Dr. Sturm's beauty career. The skincare expert used to whip up aloe vera masks for the music legend in her kitchen, but they always had to be made fresh. So Sturm worked with her clinic to figure out how to make a shelf-stable version. "So I'm sitting in Cher's kitchen again and I get my first samples and we put it on, we're talking [and] at one point I start peeling it off and underneath that is my baby butt!" she told the Observer in 2016. So it seems only natural Cher would have wanted to be the first to try out this miracle blood cream.

In an interview with Into the Gloss, Brad Goreski said, "I'm out of her Blood Cream right now, but I'll use that during the day. This is going to sound so weird, but she has a stash of my blood somewhere in Dusseldorf! I think she has one of the best new product lines where you actually see results. The Blood Cream is uber expensive but I actually see a massive change in my skin, and it was immediate once I started using it."

Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk told Elle about her first encounter with Dr. Sturm: "It was during Paris Fashion Week and I was like, 'What do you mean you're going to take my blood and put it in a cream?'" she recalled. "I saw results right away. I was exhausted, I remember it was the last leg of fashion month and my skin was a grey-ish color. I was like 'S—t, I need some help. I wore [the blood cream] to bed and woke up and my skin was alive again. It's so crazy how your own blood can heal your skin."

Hailey Baldwin also told Elle about her obsession with the product, saying, ""She creates these blood creams where she'll pull the blood out and put your plasma in the cream. It's not red, but they split it so it's the plasma from your blood. She takes my blood and stores it, so I'll do it once and then go back to restock every couple of months. You can never be too young to care about your skin. I don't know, I'm a weirdo and love sci-fi beauty."
