Gwyneth Paltrow sued for alleged hit-and-run ski incident

Gwyneth Paltrow sued for alleged hit-and-run ski incident

Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued over a 2016 skiing incident in Deer Valley, Utah.

Dr. Terry Sanderson alleged in court documents filed on Tuesday and obtained by Page Six that Paltrow, 46, had been skiing “out of control” on Feb. 26, 2016, when she ran into him and left him alone to tend to his injuries.

Sanderson alleged that after Paltrow was going too fast and was distracted, resulting in “knocking him down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries,” she simply “got up, turned and skied away.”

He also claimed that Paltrow’s ski instructor at Deer Valley Resort did not see the crash, but he came over to see Sanderson. He saw that Sanderson was injured, but he “falsely accused Sanderson of having caused the crash. He also failed to send help, as he was obligated to do, and later filed a false report to protect his client, Ms. Paltrow.” The resort is also listed in the suit.

Sanderson also claimed that “neither Ms. Paltrow nor Deer Valley lodge personnel notified emergency responders about the injured Dr. Sanderson. They left him at the scene with serious brain injuries caused by Ms. Paltrow.”

Sanderson is now suing for medical expenses and life care expenses to be determined at trial. He reported that he “has suffered and will continue to suffer damages, including both economic and non-economic damages related to the ski crash in excess of $3,100,000.”

Paltrow’s rep slammed the validity of the suit on Tuesday.

“This lawsuit is completely without merit,” Paltrow’s rep told us. “Anyone who reads the facts will realize that.”
