Jeff Bezos’ security guru furiously working to find out who leaked racy texts

Security guru Gavin de Becker is leading the furious hunt to find out how the National Enquirer got hold of private texts between Jeff Bezos and new love Lauren Sanchez, Page Six has learned.

De Becker handles security for the Amazon billionaire and his family — and his staff was by Bezos’ side as he embarked on an affair with Sanchez.

Now de Becker — who counts a string of A-listers including Madonna as clients — is determined to track down the culprits who leaked the message. He has even looked into Sanchez and members of her family.

De Becker confirmed to the Daily Beast he had spoken to Sanchez’s brother, Hollywood manager Michael Sanchez. He told the site: “Michael Sanchez has been among the people we’ve been speaking with and looking at.” De Becker stressed that the investigation is ongoing. But he confirmed that “strong leads point to political motives.”

Racy texts from Bezos to Sanchez that were published in the Enquirer read: “I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in. I want to hold you tight,” and “I love you, alive girl. I will show you with my body, and my lips and my eyes, very soon.”

We’re told de Becker’s security team has even investigated whether it was Sanchez herself who worked with the magazine, a claim which a source close to the couple claimed was “ridiculous” — while the Daily Beast has also reported that the inquiry has not uncovered any evidence Sanchez was involved, nor that any phones were hacked.

Another source claimed there were numerous times during the four-month period the Enquirer trailed Bezos and Sanchez when it appeared they had no security.

The source said: “There was a big security presence when Bezos, his wife Mackenzie and their kids were on campus during family day at MIT in Boston.

“Bezos usually has security whenever he’s with his wife and kids — but that wasn’t the case with Lauren. On multiple occasions, they were followed with no security.” However, we’re told this was by their choice.

The Daily Beast reported there are fears the investigation is “politically motivated” in a bid to take down Bezos. However, a source still insists that this is just a “weird conspiracy.”

An Amazon rep declined to comment, while a source close to Bezos insisted there were no lapses in security, saying: “Jeff has the highest confidence in Gavin, which is part of the reason he hired him to do the privacy breach investigation.

“There was never any breach of physical security, which is what Gavin is responsible for.”

De Becker is a former Reagan administration appointee and Justice Department adviser. His biography says his pioneering work has “changed the way our government evaluates threats to our nation’s highest officials.”

Although an adviser to a swath of prominent figures and corporations, his company also serves victims of domestic abuse and stalking.

De Becker has also advised the prosecution on major cases, including the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
