Serena Williams, Amal Clooney co-hosting Meghan Markle’s baby shower

Meghan Markle‘s baby shower is being thrown Wednesday by Amal Clooney with a small group of friends at the Mark Hotel, sources have confirmed to Page Six.

One source told Page Six, “Amal is hosting, with Serena [Williams], but it is a very small group of friends in the Mark Penthouse.”

It is believed The Mark’s chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has created a special menu for the party, and colors for the decor have been kept neutral because the royal baby’s sex has not yet been revealed.

Described as the largest penthouse in the United States with more than 10,000 square feet, the two-floor suite, which is said to go for $75,000 per night, according to Tatler, boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms and four fireplaces, in addition to views of Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Oprah Winfrey, who attended last May’s royal wedding, is widely expected to attend the shower after her own BFF, Gayle King, was seen arriving at The Mark on Wednesday afternoon.

Markle’s designer pal Misha Noono, who is said to be responsible for introducing the guest of honor to Prince Harry, will be there, as she turned up at The Mark on Tuesday. “Suits” star Abigail Spener has also been spotted at the hotel, as well as the Duchess of Sussex’s unofficial stylist and longtime friend, Jessica Mulroney.

Markle’s friend from Northwestern University, Lindsay Roth, has also flown in, and newlywed Priyanka Chopra, who was in Los Angeles earlier this week, could make an appearance as well. Soho House consultant Markus Anderson, “Vampire Diaries” actress Janina Gavankar and Sarah Rafferty of “Suits” are also on the guest list.

However, her old friend, fitness guru Heather Dorak, will not be in attendance because she just gave birth to her second baby boy five days ago.

Celebrity hairstyle Serge Normant, who did Markle’s hair for her wedding, was with the Duchess on Tuesday and was responsible for her glossy locks in front of the cameras. He is expected to be part of Wednesday’s festivities, as he was also tasked to style her hair.
