Britney Spears’ dad to have second colon surgery

Britney Spears’ father Jamie will undergo a second colon surgery next week.

Jamie’s colon spontaneously ruptured last November and he underwent surgery at the time, The Blast reports. Although doctors still do not know what caused the rupture, Jamie is now healed enough for doctors to go in and finish the initial surgery.

Britney, 37, said in January that he “almost died” because of the health scare and postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency to help care for him after his first hospitalization.

She will be by his side again to help him recover.
