Lauren Sanchez and Patrick Whitesell file for divorce

Jeff Bezos‘ mistress Lauren Sanchez and her estranged husband Patrick Whitesell have filed for divorce — the day after the Amazon billionaire’s divorce was finalized, Page Six has confirmed.

Sanchez and Whitesell both filed divorce petitions in Los Angeles on Friday, however, we’re told this is just a formality because Hollywood power agent Whitesell and Sanchez have spent more than six months negotiating and agreeing to the terms.

We’re told the timing of the divorce filings, within 24 hours of each other, is merely a “coincidence.”

A source told Page Six: “Lauren and Patrick mediated and agreed to everything in private, including child custody the filing is simply procedural.

“There is no contest and it is hoped a judge will rubber stamp the filing and the divorce will be finalized in a few months’ time.”

Sources add that the couple had been separated for some time and were already negotiating their divorce before Sanchez’ affair with Bezos was made public in January.

The Whitesells worked with divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to mediate the split, and her name is listed on Lauren’s divorce papers. Both Sanchez and Whitesell filed exactly the same divorce petition, meaning there is no contest.

They are asking for joint custody of their two children, and neither is asking for child or spousal support, Page Six has confirmed.

Although the Whitesells are wealthy, a source said: “Patrick has been generous, but Lauren is getting nothing in the realm of what MacKenzie [Bezos] has.”

Whitesell is co-CEO with Ari Emanuel at Endeavor, which is reportedly preparing to file paperwork for an IPO by the end of the year. But Lauren would not be entitled to any of the proceeds, we’re told.

The Bezos divorce was announced Thursday. The billionaire’s ex-wife MacKenzie becomes the fourth richest woman in the world – with an estimated fortune of at least $35 billion.

MacKenzie left the Amazon founder with 75 percent of their shared stock in the company, as well as voting control over the nearly 20 million shares she is keeping for herself. Jeff, 55, keeps all the shares in the Washington Post, which he bought in 2013, and his space company Blue Origin.

He remains the world’s richest person on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with a net worth of $114 billion (it was $150 billion Thursday, before Bloomberg adjusted his worth, taking the divorce into account).

In a tweet Thursday, MacKenzie said she was “happy” to give him voting control as well as financial interests in the newspaper and space company in order to “support his continued contributions with the teams of these incredible companies.”

Page Six earlier revealed that Bezos and Sanchez had agreed to remain apart until both of their divorces were settled but remain in love and are planning a future together.
