Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, arrives in UK ahead of royal baby’s birth
Doria Ragland is ready to meet her grandchild.
Meghan Markle‘s mom has arrived in the UK, according to Entertainment Tonight, as the pregnant Duchess of Sussex is due to welcome her first child with Prince Harry any day.
“It is such a happy and exciting time for Meghan,” an insider previously told the outlet. “She looks absolutely radiant and is taking each day at a time.”
Forgoing the traditional photo op outside the Lindo Wing in London, as Kate Middleton and Prince William have done with their three children, parents-to-be Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, plan to keep Baby Sussex’s birth private.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” Kensington Palace said in a previous statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family,” the statement continued.
After Meghan and Harry announced they were expecting a baby back in October, the Palace also included a statement from Ragland, sharing that she is “very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
