Harry Styles wears high heels and a sheer shirt to the 2019 Met Gala
Harry’s got style.
Former One Direction frontman Harry Styles showed up to the 2019 Met Gala wearing a black Gucci ensemble that featured a sheer ruffled shirt and high-waisted trousers that covered most of his chest. He accessorized with a single pearl earring, black high heels and a black and silver manicure.
This year’s theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” and Styles, 25, was appointed co-chair alongside Lady Gaga and Serena Williams by Anna Wintour herself.
It comes as no surprise that Styles chose a Alessandro Michele-designed Gucci look for fashion’s biggest night; the “Sign of the Times” singer starred in the brand’s most recent ad campaign alongside cute farm animals, and the Italian brand was even chosen to underwrite this year’s event.
Taking cues from Prince, Elton John and David Bowie, Styles has spent nearly all of the past year wearing colorful patterned suits from Calvin Klein, Dior and, of course, Gucci. So it’s fitting that his Met Gala debut would include a campy take on menswear.
This may be Styles’ first Met Gala, but it certainly won’t be his last.
