Meghan Markle and Prince Harry show royal baby for the first time
Introducing the newest member of the royal family.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry publicly debuted their newborn son on Wednesday, two days after the Duchess of Sussex, 37, gave birth to the couple’s first child.
“It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing, I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” Meghan told the media, adding, “He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm. It’s been a special couple of days.”
“We’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy,” proud dad Harry, 34, beamed.
Following the press conference, Meghan and Harry revealed they were going to introduce Baby Sussex to Queen Elizabeth.
“We just bumped into the Duke [Prince Philip] as we were walking by, so it’ll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family,” Meghan said.
The newborn’s name has not yet been announced.
Baby Sussex is seventh in line to the throne, behind Harry. After Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles is first, followed by his older son, Prince William, and William’s three children with wife Kate Middleton: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“We’re both absolutely thrilled, we’re so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there, it’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody,” Harry said earlier this week.
The young royal was born in the early hours of Monday, weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces.
