Kylie Jenner to start baby clothing and home line
Kylie Jenner is getting into kids products.
Stormi Webster’s mom filed to trademark the name “Kylie Baby” across a host of products on Monday. Besides clothing, Jenner, 21, will also seek to create products including bottles, strollers and cribs as well as probiotic supplements, wipes and lotions, according to papers obtained from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The move comes on the heels of the announcement that Jenner will release a new branch of her Kylie Cosmetics empire — Kylie Skin — next week. The initial offerings include six products: a foaming face wash, vanilla milk toner, walnut face scrub, moisturizer, eye cream and vitamin C serum, all of which will retail for under $30.
It makes sense that the young mom and “youngest self-made billionaire” would branch into the baby business. Not only does she have a 1-year-old daughter of her own, but the Kardashian family has now grown to include 10 grandchildren in total, including the most recent addition of Kim Kardashian’s fourth child, a boy.
It’s also possible that Kylie could have multiple collaborations with her sisters in her future plans for Kylie Baby. Kourtney Kardashian recently launched her health and wellness lifestyle site Poosh, which features probiotics and other supplements, and Khloé’s Good American jeans and activewear line makes maternity wear. Kim and Kanye West have also released their own children’s clothing lines more than once and their kids often wear their own custom versions of grown-up designs.
Fans may already have a hint as to what Jenner-designed baby clothes will look like. The reality star has previously filed to trademark “Stormiworld,” a combination of her daughter’s name and boyfriend Travis Scott’s album title, for apparel and even made custom sky-blue clothing for her first birthday.
Can the Kardashians make the baby business trendy? All signs point to yes.
