Fans accuse Kylie Jenner of not knowing how to wash her face
Kylie Jenner‘s skincare line has been facing controversy after controversy.
The beauty mogul, 21, shared a video on the Kylie Skin Twitter account on Wednesday that quickly came under fire for some questionable techniques involving her foaming face wash.
In the tutorial, Jenner can be seen using the product ($24) to take off her makeup, however, she does not apply the face wash all over and quickly washes it away with water. Then, when she dries her face with a white towel, fans spotted lots of foundation residue still apparent despite the claim that the wash removes makeup, dirt and oil. Not to mention, she obscured her face with a filter on the social media app, making it hard to see the actual skincare results.
Fans were quick to reprimand Jenner. “20 second wash + no exfoliation = leftover makeup & dirt. Smh,” one person replied. “Mam, the filter defeats the purpose of us seeing whatever effects your product has done to your skin,” another complained. A third criticized those who actually purchased the product: “Imagine buying face wash from someone who doesn’t even know how to wash their face properly.”
The Kylie Skin line also faced harsh feedback before any products were even released. After Kylie announced the first six products of the new line, many skincare pros spoke out against the walnut shell scrub, which experts say can damage the sensitive skin on your face.
However, the youngest self-made billionaire is clearly not paying any attention to her detractors given that the entire line — including the walnut scrub, foaming face wash and a $125 bundle of all of the products — sold out almost immediately.
