Jennifer Lawrence calls Cooke Maroney the ‘best person’ she’s ever met
Jennifer Lawrence had a simple reason for deciding to marry fiancé Cooke Maroney.
“Well, he’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life,” Lawrence told “Entertainment Tonight” at the “Dark Phoenix” premiere when asked how she knew Maroney was “the one.”
Of accepting his marriage proposal in February, she added: “It was a very easy, easy decision.”
Page Six exclusively revealed earlier this year that the Oscar-winning actress, 28, and the New York art gallery director, 34, were engaged. In May, the couple celebrated with a starry engagement party at Brooklyn’s River Cafe, where Lawrence embraced her bridal side in a $2,300 pink wedding dress designed by her cousin Lauren Wells of L. Wells Bridal.
The private pair started dating last summer.
The new X-Men movie “Dark Phoenix” marks Lawrence’s return to the big screen (and questions from the press about her personal life) after announcing in February 2018 that she’d take a year-long hiatus from acting.
