Meghan, Harry and baby Archie set for Southern Africa tour
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their baby boy, Archie, will be heading to Africa this fall on their first official tour as a family.
“TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to announce that they have been asked to carry out a tour to Southern Africa this autumn … This will be their first official tour as a family!” the official Sussex Royal Instagram account posted Thursday.
The trio plans to visit South Africa, while Harry is also expected to visit Malawi, Angola and Botswana.
“The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the Commonwealth and beyond,” the announcement read.
Harry’s charity Sentebale supports the mental health and well-being of young people affected by HIV and living in Lesotho and Botswana. It was announced in June that he and Meghan would be starting their own foundation after splitting from the one he and brother Prince William started together.
Since Archie’s birth in May, the public has gotten only a quick glimpse of the royal baby. The new parents have since released one photo of the little boy’s face, though in the past they’ve emphasized how important their privacy is to them.
