Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip won’t attend Archie’s christening
Baby Archie will be christened Saturday during a private ceremony in Windsor Castle, but who is godparents will be is still a big secret.
His father, Prince Harry, is said to behind keeping their identities quiet, according to the Sun. Just 25 guests are expected at the ceremony, which will be celebrated by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The outlet also reported that the Queen and Prince Philip will not be there for their great-grandson’s ceremony.
The godparents are “close and old friends” of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to the Daily Mail. Speculation — and bets with London bookies — has included Lindsay Roth and Benita Litt, two friends of the royal mother who served as bridesmaids at her wedding last year.
Roth was among those who joined Markle, 37, in cheering on Serena Williams at Wimbledon on Thursday.
