Miley Cyrus gets tattoo inspired by her trip to Italy with Kaitlynn Carter

Miley Cyrus found a permanent way to commemorate her romantic Italian vacation with Kaitlynn Carter.
The singer, 26, added a large new tattoo by celebrity favorite Brian Woo, better known as Dr. Woo. The artist posted the intricate and extremely detailed work on his Instagram, revealing that it was inspired by a “cool old sculpture” Cyrus found in Italy.
The design also happens to be one of Milan’s most treasured images. The snake consuming a human is known as the “biscione” or “vipera,” and is the official family crest of the Visconti family, one of the most powerful and noble dynasties of the Middle Ages. The “biscione” has been adopted by soccer team Inter Milan and car company Alfa Romeo.
Woo’s work is located on Miley’s left forearm underneath where her mother’s birth name, Leticia Jean, is written in script. The pop star’s other tattoos include portraits of her pets who have died and several pieces dedicated to now-estranged husband Liam Hemsworth, including matching jars of Vegemite to symbolize his native Australia, Day of the Dead skulls and a quote by Teddy Roosevelt, which begins on Cyrus’ forearm and is completed on Hemsworth’s bicep.
Liam isn’t the only Hemsworth whom Miley has gotten inked with; she even has a matching wave tattoo with brother-in-law Chris Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky.
While it appears that Carter, who was spotted kissing Cyrus at their Lake Como hotel earlier this month, has not gotten a tattoo to commemorate the trip or her budding relationship with Cyrus, it seems their love is still going strong in Los Angeles. The new couple sent a marijuana bouquet to Carter’s ex Brody Jenner on his birthday, and have been spotted out and about together back home.
Now that Hemsworth has officially filed for divorce from his wife of less than one year, perhaps it’s Carter’s turn to go under the needle.
