Kylie Jenner releases ‘Rise and Shine’ clothing after song goes viral
There’s a reason Kylie Jenner is a self-made billionaire.
The beauty mogul, 22, is capitalizing on her unexpected musical success by releasing meme-based sweatshirts.
A clip of Jenner singing to daughter Stormi Webster during a tour of her office has sparked thousands of reactions and memes, despite the young mom only belting out three words: rise and shine. The resulting videos, remixes and memes became so pervasive that Ariana Grande even asked to sample the sounds for a future song; Jenner agreed — if she could be in the potential music video.
The sweatshirts feature Jenner’s face inside of a sun with the words “Riiise” and “Shiiinnee” on the sleeves in a black version and on the front surrounded by musical notes on a white design. Both retail for $65 and are available to purchase on KylieJennerShop.com.
It seems that Jenner has been enjoying the reaction to her casual singing. Before surprise creating the merch, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star retweeted a parody an audition on “The Voice” — which judge Miley Cyrus also shared — and a dubstep remix. She even changed her Instagram bio to “Rise and Shine” posted her own upbeat remix, which Stormi danced to until requesting a song by dad Travis Scott instead.
If Jenner doesn’t release the full song, at least she’ll rake in the clothing sales.
