Kim Kardashian explains the ‘return’ of her stolen engagement ring

Kim Kardashian‘s bling is back — or is it?

In the campaign photos for her KKW Fragrance Diamonds Collection, the 39-year-old star sports a dazzling diamond engagement ring that bears a striking resemblance to the 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz sparkler that was stolen during her horrifying Paris robbery in 2016, leaving fans to wonder whether she’d finally recovered her beloved rock.

But while both rings were designed by the same jeweler, Kardashian revealed, the one she wore for the photoshoot was just a loaner.

“I borrowed all jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz,” the reality star told “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday. “It was nice to borrow it all and it was nice to give it back to her. That was a really fun shoot and because it was diamonds, I thought this was the perfect way to bring it back and wear them again.”

Kardashian was held at gunpoint by two masked men who made off with millions of dollars’ worth of her jewelry — including her upgraded emerald-cut engagement ring from Kanye West. She still has her original engagement ring from 2013, a 15-carat oval cut also designed by Schwartz.

“She always knows the cut and everything that I really wanted. So when I want to wear something, I’ll borrow it from her for the day,” Kardashian said of the Hollywood-loved jeweler, adding of her stolen bauble: “There is a replica around. A little fake that I’ll borrow from her sometimes that she made. A really nice one. It looks really nice.”
