Harry Styles’ new song ‘Cherry’ features voicemail from ex Camille Rowe
Harry Styles has ex-girlfriend Camille Rowe on the brain even though she’s moved on with new boyfriend Theo Niarchos.
The former One Direction singer, 25, released his second solo album on Friday, titled “Fine Line,” which features a song called “Cherry.” At the end of the breakup ballad, Styles includes a voicemail left in French by Rowe.
Translated from French to English, Rowe’s voicemail appears to be a goodnight message for Styles:
“Hello! Are you asleep? Oh, I’m sorry…Well, no… No, it’s not important. Well… We went to the beach and now we… Perfect! Harry.”
Styles teased to Zane Lowe in an interview that the voicemail would be featured on the track ahead of its release.
“When we listened back to the album, I asked her to add it in,” he told the broadcaster last month. “I think she liked [the song]. ‘Cherry’ is about … I wanted it to reflect how I felt then. I was feeling not great. It’s all about being not great. Because, you get petty when things don’t go the way you want it. There’s parts that’s so pathetic.”
The Victoria’s Secret Angel, 33, and Styles dated for just over a year before breaking up in July 2018. He had introduced her to his family in December 2017 and from there on out she was spotted at numerous concerts with his mom, Anne Twist. Rowe also attended the final date of his tour, as did another ex-girlfriend, Kendall Jenner.
