Archie’s ‘Duck! Rabbit!’ book was a gift from Oprah Winfrey
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor already has friends in high places.
To celebrate his first birthday on Wednesday, mom Meghan Markle shared a video of herself reading a book called “Duck! Rabbit!” to Archie. Proud dad Prince Harry videotaped the reading and joined-in at the end to cheer.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that a sticker on the book read, “Archie’s Book Club,” bearing a strong resemblance to family friend Oprah Winfrey’s stickers that she uses for her own book club.
A rep for Winfrey confirmed to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday that the book was indeed a gift she gave the couple when Archie was born.
The entertainment mogul is a close friend to the royal couple and attended their 2018 wedding. The Prince has collaborated with Winfrey on a mental health series for Apple TV+ that will air later this year and Page Six has reported that she has supported their controversial split from the royal family.
The couple are currently holed up in a Beverly Hills mansion owned by “Madea” creator Tyler Perry. It’s speculated that Perry was introduced to the couple by Winfrey.
Archie isn’t the only celeb tot to receive presents from Winfrey.
Mindy Kaling revealed that her “A Wrinkle in Time” co-star gave her daughter Katherine “a hand-carved bookcase, prettier than any professional dollhouse you had ever seen that contained a hundred of the classic essential books in children’s literature.”
And not only that, but “each book has ‘Katherine’s Book Club’ on it,” Kaling added.
A rep for Winfrey did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
