‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ set shut down due to COVID-19

‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’ set shut down due to COVID-19

Production on FX’s “Impeachment: American Crime Story” has been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A source confirmed to Page Six on Friday that production paused earlier in the week due to a positive case of COVID-19. The case was caught during a routine screening in adherence with safety protocols.

The show is on hiatus for the holiday and will resume next month, the source added.

The series, based on a book by disgraced journalist Jeffrey Toobin, delves into President Clinton’s dalliance with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and the surrounding scandal and impeachment proceedings.

Just last week, Sarah Paulson, who plays Linda Tripp, and Beanie Feldstein, who is playing Monica Lewinsky, were snapped filming while wearing masks and protective gear.

Billy Eichner, Clive Owen, and Annaleigh Ashford are also slated to star in the Ryan Murphy production.

A spokesperson for FX declined to comment.
