Meghan Markle has written a children’s book about the “special bond” between fathers and sons as seen from a mother’s perspective.

The Duchess of Sussex’s picture book, “The Bench,” was inspired by her husband, Prince Harry, and their nearly 2-year-old son, Archie, according to an announcement Tuesday from Penguin Random House.

Meghan Markle is releasing children's book "The Bench" in June.

“’The Bench’ started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born,” Markle said in a statement, adding that the story is depicted through “an inclusive lens. … My hope is that ‘The Bench’ resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”

“Inspired by her own husband and son, The Duchess of Sussex’s debut touchingly captures the evolving and expanding relationship between fathers and sons and reminds us of the many ways that love can take shape and be expressed in a modern family,” the publisher said.

The book, which was illustrated by artist Christian Robinson, will be published by Random House Children’s Books on June 8.

In addition to the print version, there will be an audiobook narrated by the pregnant “Suits” alum, who is due this summer with a baby girl.

Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, who now reside in California, have been busy building their own empire following their exit from the British royal family. In recent months, the couple inked a deal with Spotify to produce podcasts. They also signed a production deal with Netflix.

They shocked the world in March with a candid interview containing numerous bombshells about the royal family. Markle claimed to Oprah Winfrey that a member of the royal family had expressed concerns during her pregnancy with Archie about how dark the baby’s skin might be. She also spoke about having suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy, and said she was denied help by Buckingham Palace when she asked for it.
