William and Kate announce Scotland tour on Harry and Meghan’s anniversary

Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced they will return to the small Scottish town where they met and fell in love.

Their announcement interestingly came on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s third wedding anniversary — and on the same day the princes’ cousin Princess Beatrice revealed she is expecting her first child.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make a seven-day trip to Scotland, including a visit to their alma mater, the University of St. Andrews.

It was there they first met 20 years ago while both studying for a history of art degree, although William later transferred to a geography degree.

They will chat to students at St. Andrews to see how they have coped during the pandemic, according to Kensington Palace.

William will begin the seven-day visit on Friday, traveling to Scotland in his role as lord high commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Middleton will join him on Monday and remain for the rest of the tour.

Meanwhile, Harry and Markle celebrated their third wedding anniversary by revealing plans to build a disaster relief center in India to help battle COVID-19 and “heal” the virus-ravaged nation.

The building in Mumbai will be based on the blueprint of one the couple’s Archewell foundation has already built on the Caribbean island of Dominica, where locals can get free food and medical care, including a coronavirus vaccination.

Announcing the plans on their official Archewell website, the Sussexes, who married at Windsor Castle, promised the proposed center would “provide relief and resilience as well as healing and strength” for those who use it.

It came as the couple demanded the equal distribution of COVID vaccines around the world and backed President Biden’s calls for big pharma companies to waive vaccine patents for poorer countries.
