Travis Barker credits Kourtney Kardashian for helping him overcome fear of flying
She’s the wind beneath his wings.
Travis Barker is praising his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, for helping him overcome his fear of flying after his near-fatal plane crash in 2008.
“With you anything is possible🖤 @kourtneykardash,” the Blink-182 drummer captioned a photo of the couple kissing in front of a private plane belonging to Kardashian’s youngest sister, Kylie Jenner.
“Anything and everything with you 🖤,” Kardashian, 42, replied in the comments.
Another of Kourtney’s sisters, Khloé Kardashian, added, “Love conquers ALL.”
Barker, 45, had not gotten on a plane since the deadly crash that claimed the lives of two pilots, the rocker’s assistant Chris Baker and security guard Charles “Che” Still.
Although Barker and his pal, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, survived, they both struggled in the aftermath of the accident. Barker, who suffered third-degree burns on 65 percent of his body, spent months in the hospital enduring 16 surgeries, while DJ AM died of a drug overdose a year after the crash.
Earlier this year, Barker opened up to Men’s Health about dealing with his PTSD and survivor’s guilt.
“I was dark,” he told the magazine. “I couldn’t walk down the street. If I saw a plane [in the sky], I was determined it was going to crash, and I just didn’t want to see it.”
Earlier this week, Barker shocked fans when he was photographed boarding a plane with Kourtney, her mom, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble for a group vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Barker and Kourtney went public with their romance on Valentine’s Day and have since taken trips to Disneyland with their families and engaged in assorted PDA acrobatics.
