Shaun White shares his Olympics 2022 essentials

Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.

Shaun White’s come a long way since his 2006 Olympic debut in Turin, both in terms of his sport and his style. In addition to trading his once-signature mane of long, fiery curls for something sleeker, he’s arguably become the best-dressed snowboarder in the game, often stepping out in sharply tailored pieces from Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Burberry.

That elevated taste extends to the three-time gold medalist’s everyday essentials as well. Before jetting off to the 2022 Beijing Olympics for his final competition, White shared some of his packing must-haves with Page Six Style — including his favorite scented candle and James Bond-worthy watch.

  1. 1. Celsius Sparkling Watermelon Essential Energy Drink

“I stopped drinking coffee because I found that drinking too much of it gave me the jitters sometimes. Celsius is the perfect drink for me because it gives me the boost of energy I need, especially before a competition or workout. There isn’t all the extra sugars or additives you find in some other energy drinks either, which is great. I’ve been a huge fan of their drinks for a while now.”

  2. 2. Diptyque Baies Candle

“This is my favorite candle. I have them in many rooms of my house. Being a professional athlete, I travel a lot and find myself sleeping in many hotel rooms, so I’ll throw one of these into my suitcase to burn while I’m on the road. It’s so nice to have something that reminds you of home when you’re away.”

    $70

  3. 3. Omega Speedmaster Racing Watch

“I was gifted this Omega racing watch after I won my last gold medal in South Korea, and I just love it. I never switch the time, and always keep it on PST, so I know what time it is at home and what my family and friends are up to. I’m also a big movie guy and I remember watching James Bond for the first time and seeing his watch thinking, ‘Wow, that’s such a cool watch! I want something like that.'”

    $8,450

  4. 4. Louis Vuitton Météore Fragrance

“This is my favorite cologne I’m wearing at the moment. My initials are engraved on the bottle, which is pretty special. I’m a big scent guy, and will go back and forth between this and another cologne that I like. I also did a project with Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh recently. We met while snowboarding last year and instantly became friends. I was telling him about my company I was thinking of launching, Whitespace, and how I collected vintage luggage and always dreamed of having an LV snowboard bag and a guitar case. His response was, ‘No effin’ way, we have to make this happen!’ And he did. I received the bags from Louis Vuitton just before I left for the Beijing Olympics, and it’s something that will be so special to me for many years to come. It saddens me to know that Virgil never got to see the finished products, but I know that he would have loved them.”

    $265

  5. 5. Aesop Moroccan Neroli Shaving Set

“I love many of Aesop’s products. I spend a lot of time outdoors, whether it’s on the mountain or near the water. These two products help my skin stay hydrated and moisturized. I love the smell, too.”

    $80

  6. 6. Night Pillow

“I travel a ton, so getting sleep on an airplane is crucial for me. I bought this pillow recently and love it. It folds up easily and I like that it comes in a case so when I’m putting it through security — it’s protected from all the germs and things. No one wants to put that on their face after!”
