Hailey Bieber’s go-to manicure is finger-lickin’ good.
The model’s “glazed donut” nails have been going viral on social media all summer, much like her glossy, gleaming skincare trend of the same name.
Bieber, 25, debuted the iridescent off-white look at the 2022 Met Gala in May, working with LA-based nail artist Zola Ganzorigt to create the perfect dewy, frosted mani to complement her silky white Saint Laurent gown trimmed with feathers.
In July, Ganzorigt told Page Six Style she was “really surprised” to see the trend take off on TikTok.
“We were originally just doing translucent white, but after I put on the color, I asked Hailey to try the chrome effect because it would match her dress. That’s how we discovered [the] ‘glazed donut’ nail,” she explained, adding that it’s “really simple but catches everyone’s eye” and that “once you get it, you’ll get addicted to it.”
While the artist said interested parties can simply “ask for a pearlescent chrome nail” at the salon, she did Bieber fans one better in early August, sharing a step-by-step TikTok tutorial (and sharing the exact products she used on the model at the Met) so everyone can get the look at home.

- Apply OPI Gel Color Stay Strong Base Coat ($20) and cure for 30 seconds under an LED nail lamp.

- Follow with OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat ($23); cure for 60 seconds, then wipe down the nails with an alcohol pad.
