Stars like Emily Ratajkowski can’t stop wearing this North Face jacket

When it comes to cold-weather styles, this North Face jacket’s still hot.

After all, while the brand’s 1996 Nuptse Jacket ($320) has been on the market for decades — as the name suggests — the outerwear is certainly still “in” among celebrities.

In the last two months alone, Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, Dixie D’Amelio and Emily Ratajkowski have all stepped out in the popular puffer, which is available in a slew of shades and patterns in both men’s and women’s sizes ($320).

Bieber opted for the classic all-black version for a walk with husband Justin Bieber in November, just weeks before Ariana Grande borrowed husband Dalton Gomez’s identical puffer for a bundled-up Instagram snap.

Ratajkowski, meanwhile, has been a fan of the jacket for years; in addition to a slew of other styles from the brand, she owns the Nuptse in at least four colors.

In fact, The North Face seems to be a date night go-to for the model, who sported a red puffer coat while out with artist Jack Greer last week — almost a month after donning a brown Nuptse jacket on her courtside date with Pete Davidson.

But while her fling with the “SNL” star didn’t last, as Page Six exclusively reported earlier this week, the jacket’s popularity certainly has.

The retro style first rose to TikTok fame in November 2019 when Kendall Jenner stepped out in the brown version, unwittingly causing the style to fly off the shelves soon after.

And the viral coat is just as beloved by Hollywood men; Davidson himself has worn similar North Face jackets, while Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Affleck both own versions of the Nuptse.

Also among the jacket’s famous fans? Supermodels like Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber, who’ve both bundled up in the puffer over the years.

Now, with the rise of gorpcore — a trend featuring traditionally utilitarian or performance pieces — the outdoorsy outerwear’s popularity just might keep climbing northward, so to speak.
