Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty brand has a hot new launch.

The haircare label dropped its first-ever heat tool on Monday, the Pattern Blow Dryer ($189) — a device created to “help usher in a new era of curl-conscious heat,” as the “Black-ish” star said in a press release.

“Like all of us, I have a relationship with heat that started off as not a good one for my curl pattern, whether it was the physical pain of heat or the emotional pain of losing my curl pattern,” she added to People of her inspiration for the tool, which she said took about two years to develop.

“When I started to nurse my hair back to health, heat was actually part of the process,” she continued.

“Using heat safely so it wasn’t damaging and so it allowed me to wear different styles that weren’t dependent on my curl pattern was incredibly important.”

The newly launched blow dryer, designed for “curly, coily and tight textured hair,” offers up to six customized airflow and heat settings thanks to a cool-shot button, and multiple speed and temperature options.

“I’m elated to launch our first heat tool, The Blow Dryer with four attachments, and can’t wait to help usher in a new era of curl-conscious heat!” Ross said in a press release. Nadine Ijewere for PATTERN Beaut

The buzzy launch also comes with four attachment options for further customization: a diffuser, a concentrator nozzle, a wide-tooth comb — which Ross called “genuinely magic” in an InStyle interview — and a brush.

“The brush attachment is a freaking dream,” she added to the magazine. “It’s perfect if you’re braiding your hair or if you just really want that Chaka Khan frizz, but still have your texture.”

In addition to the gadgets, Pattern also released a Heat Protectant ($20) and Shine Spray ($20), the latter of which the brand describes in a press release as the “perfect finisher to leave curls luminous and radiant … best used on dry, heat-styled or natural hair textures.”

Ross launched Pattern Beauty in September 2019 with products including a Hydration Shampoo ($20) and Leave-In Conditioner ($25), both of which Page Six Style tested following the launch.
