The best beauty looks of the 2023 SAG Awards — and how to shop them
Held at the height of awards season each year, the SAG Awards always promises a starry night.
And this year’s red carpet was no exception, with some of Hollywood’s biggest names going big with their fashion — and showing off equally eye-catching beauty looks — at the Fairmont Century Plaza on Sunday.
But unlike designer duds and diamond bling, the makeup and hair products behind their red carpet moments don’t require an A-lister budget.
From Zendaya’s rose-hued shadow to Aubrey Plaza’s bronze glow, we’ve broken down the styling secrets behind 10 of the best beauty looks from the awards show.
Below, shop a selection of star-approved hair, makeup and skincare products to create your own winning beauty looks.
Zendaya
The “Euphoria” actress’ monochromatic makeup was just as dazzling as her duo of dresses for the night. Her makeup artist Raoúl Alejandre applied products including the Lancôme Teint Idôle Ultra 24H Long Lasting Foundation ($57), plus two shades of the brand’s Lancôme Teint Idôle Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer ($29) “to add depth, contour and highlight the face,” per a press release.
Her rosy eye look, which complemented her flower-covered Valentino Haute Couture gown, included the brand’s Color Design Eyeshadow ($25) in Pink Pearls on the lid and Filigree from the inner corners to the brow bone.
Aubrey Plaza
Plaza’s metallic Michael Kors dress wasn’t the only thing shining on the red carpet. The star entrusted makeup artist Kathy Jeung with her “bronzed goddess” beauty look, which featured Charlotte Tilbury products like the new Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand ($42) and Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter ($48).
As for her bouncy curls? Hairstylist Mark Townsend’s arsenal featured the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Milky Leave-In Conditioner ($26) — plus the brand’s Brazilian Glossy Nourishing Hair Oil ($34), which he used to “add loads of shine and keep the hair frizz free all night,” as he said in a press release.
Meghann Fahy
Before hitting the carpet in her white-hot Ralph Lauren dress, the “White Lotus” star prepped her skin using the celeb-loved Solawave 4-in-1 Advance Skincare Wand with Red Light Therapy ($149) and Renew Complex Activating Serum ($32) — which, in a press release, her makeup artist Emily Cheng called “great to calm any inflammation or spots on the face prior to makeup application.”
As for the star’s ‘90s -inspired blowout? Hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg prepped with John Freida products including the Frizz Ease Original Serum ($25) and Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray ($11).
Jessica Chastain
Chastain may have taken a tumble during the show, but she certainly didn’t miss when it came to her beauty look.
In a press release, makeup artist Kristofer Buckle said her glam “was inspired by a punk princess.” He prepped the star’s skin with the Hollywood-loved Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ($65), before giving the brand’s Female Flick Eyeliner ($32) a starring role in her “fierce” eye look.
Jennifer Coolidge
The “White Lotus” star’s retro glam incorporated Nars products like the Light Reflecting Foundation ($50) and the Radiant Creamy Concealer ($32), the latter of which is also a favorite of a fellow famous Jennifer (Lopez, that is).
Amanda Seyfried
Seyfried’s makeup artist Genevieve Herr also looked to the ’60s for eye look inspiration, pairing the Lancôme 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette ($60) with the brand’s Lash Idôle Mascara ($30) and Idôle Liner ($23).
Cara Delevingne
The catwalker prepped for the SAG Awards with skincare from celeb-loved brand Hanacure. Makeup artist Wendy Rowe shared an Instagram Story of her SAG Awards glam chair setup, which included products from the brand’s All-In-One Facial Set ($110).
Ariana DeBose
DeBose was among the many stars thinking pink on the red carpet, opting for a monochromatic suited style by Prabal Gurung. “I wanted to keep the makeup very fresh, sculpted, glowy and bronzed with a few punchy elements that would work well with the outfit,” makeup artist Andréa Tiller said in a press release.
Among the products in her kit? Lancôme’s Ombre Hypnôse Stylo Shadow Stick ($25) and Idôle Liner ($23), plus pout-perfecting products like the Le Lip Liner ($28) and Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss ($24) in Ideal and Magic Spell, respectively.
Haley Lu Richardson
The “White Lotus” star traded Portia’s polarizing outfits for something much more sophisticated last night. “Her elegant glam and gorgeous black strapless dress adorned with pearls left her looking stunning,” makeup artist Jenna Kristina said in a press release, adding that her matching glam began with skincare like the new REN Clean Skincare Perfect Canvas Smooth Prep & Pump Essence ($55) and the brand’s Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream ($51).
When it came time to move on to makeup, Kristina dialed up the drama with Lashify false lashes and a bold red lip.
Angela Bassett
When it comes to Bassett’s bouncy curls, her hairstylist Randy Stodghill certainly did the thing. To create what he called a “whimsical” look, per a press release, he used Olivia Garden tools including the Aurora OG Brush ($15) and Navy haircare products including the Pebble Beach Dry Texture Spray ($46).
