Oprah’s ‘favorite’ Spanx AirEssentials set now comes in new fall colors
While seasonal collections come and go, Oprah’s love for Spanx stands the test of time.
The media mogul’s included the brand on four of her famed “Favorite Things” lists over the years, praising both its clothing and signature shapewear.
Now, with fall almost upon us, her most recent “favorite” finds — the AirEssentials Half Zip ($128) and AirEssentials Wide Leg Pant ($138) — are getting an autumn-ready makeover.
Both styles, designed to feel “light as air,” are now available in both a burnt orange “Butterscotch” hue and a burgundy “Spice” shade.
“You might know Spanx for its shapewear, but it also does fantastic cozy clothes,” Winfrey wrote in 2022 of the matching set, which is available in sizes XS to 3X.

“When I tell you this set feels light as air, I’m not kidding,” she added. “It’s my new leisure suit. The perfectly loose-and-lightweight fabric is like buttah!”
She’s far from the luxe leisurewear’s only fan, as it shot to bestseller status and racked up a 4.3-star rating from over 1,000 largely positive reviews.
“Where have these been all my life!?” wondered one reviewer, while another customer described the lightweight fabric as “so darn soft and comfortable.”

In addition to the Oprah-loved options, the AirEssentials collection now includes 14 other designs — including several styles that could go from couch to conference room, like the Crew Neck Dress ($148) and Mock Neck Top ($88).
Winfrey isn’t the sole celebrity who could find favorites in new shades this season, either, as the Booty Boost Active 7/8 Leggings ($98) beloved by Kourtney Kardashian and Jennifer Garner (to name but a few) are also available in the fresh fall hues.
Perhaps the return of the pumpkin spice latte isn’t the only sign of the seasons changing.
