Pete Davidson has tried ketamine to treat depression, pal confirms

Pete Davidson tried ketamine to treat his depression, we hear.

Page Six hears the hot comic told the audience Saturday night at Madison Square Garden — where he was warming up for Dave Chappelle — that he’s been using the famed horse tranquilizer of late.

And when we checked in with a pal of the former “Saturday Night Live” star, they confirmed that it’s not just a bit — Davidson has indeed dabbled with Special K.

The longtime party drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a nasal spray (which, we’re told, is the way Davidson took it) in 2019, and it’s increasingly common as a way to treat serious depression that hasn’t been improved with more typical drugs.

And Davidson, who has been very open about his mental health issues and his use of medication, seems to have been only too willing to give the experimental treatment a whirl.

His publicist told Page Six: “Pete Davidson is not on ketamine.”

“I’m always depressed, all the time. I have to constantly bring myself out of it,” he told Charlamagne tha God in a YouTube interview last year. “I wake up depressed.”

He added: “My rock bottom is when people are scared for my life and I have to go away, and then I have to bring myself back up again. I think I’ve hit it a few times.”

The drug is famously used in veterinary medicine and has also been used as a human anesthetic.

Its use as an antidepressant is seen as a major breakthrough in the field.

Davidson recently finished a stint in rehab.

He was reportedly dealing with PTSD and borderline personality issues.

Meanwhile, the “Bupkis” star is heading out on tour.

Last week, he announced that he’s starting out at Connecticut’s Ridgefield Playhouse on Sept. 5.

He’ll be joined by pals John Mulaney and Jon Stewart for a select few dates.

In other Pete news, he’s apparently single after splitting up with Chase Sui Wonders.

They were together for nine months.

His rep didn’t comment.
