A man connected to the fatal shooting of Tupac Shakur has been arrested and charged with murder in Las Vegas, prosecutors announced Friday.

Police cuffed Duane “Keffe D” Davis earlier Friday morning, and a grand jury indicted him hours later, Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo announced.

DiGiacomo said a grand jury had been seated in the case for “several months.”

DiGiacomo described Davis, 60, as the “on-ground, on-site commander” who “ordered the death” of Shakur.

The arrest comes two months after Las Vegas police raided a Henderson, Nevada, home July 17. Records obtained by Page Six show the house belonged to Davis’ wife, Pamela Clemons.

Davis was taken into custody without incident while on a walk near his home where the search took place, the official said.

Copies of the book “Compton Street Legend” by Davis were also taken by police, the official said, as were .40 caliber ammunition cartridges — the same type used to gun down the rapper, the search warrant revealed.

Davis has claimed for years that he was an eyewitness to the “Changes” rapper’s shooting, which occurred on the Las Vegas Strip on Sept. 7, 1996.

Shakur had been riding in the passenger seat of a BMW driven by notorious rap producer Marion “Suge” Knight after a boxing match when a white Cadillac pulled alongside their vehicle on the night of Sept. 7. 1996.

The occupants of the Cadillac opened fire and struck Shakur three times in the chest and hit Knight. The “All Eyez on Me” rapper succumbed to his injuries in the hospital six days later. He was 25.

Investigators long believed the likely suspect in the shooting — Orlando “Baby Lane’ Anderson — is already dead, having been killed in a separate shooting two years after Shakur was killed.
