Sorry, McDreamy.

People Magazine has been mercilessly roasted after naming “Grey’s Anatomy” alum Patrick Dempsey the 2023 “Sexiest Man Alive.”

The 57-year-old said he was “glad” he received the honor later in life, but not everyone was a fan of the selection.

“y’all took wayyy too long for this one,” one person commented on the outlet’s Instagram post Wednesday.

“I mean yes he is v attractive but it’s not 2005, why couldn’t yall pick someone more relevant?,” another chimed in.

A third person called the actor — who played Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd on the long-running Shonda Rhimes show from 2005-2015 — “irrelevant.”

“Did I time travel? Is this a flashback to 15 years ago?” they added.

Many commenters pointed out that “The Last Of Us” star Pedro Pascal had a landmark year in his career and played a major role in pop culture conversations.

“Are you guys for real? It was the year of Pedro Pascal. He was the biggest star of the year. Patrick is fine and all but not super relevant. Y’all missed the mark on this one,” a fan of Pascal wrote.

A second reiterated, “pedro pascal was ROBBED.”

A third user chimed in, “The only explanation I have for this nonsense is that Pedro turned down the title.”

Others were pleased to see Dempsey finally being given some recognition, including one fan who wrote, “I understand that other people may have deserved it more but cmon it’s MCDREAMY. How are you guys complaining about this.”

“It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive,” Dempsey told the outlet.

“And then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid! I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good,” he added.

The race car driver wed Jillian Dempsey in 1999 and the couple share three children: daughter Talula, 21, and 16-year-old twin boys Sullivan and Darby.

The proud dad joked that his family would definitely be roasting him after receiving the honor.

They’re “just going to make fun of me and pick on me and figure out every reason why I shouldn’t be,” the “Bridget Jones’s Baby” actor said of his family.

This isn’t the first time People has come under fire its “Sexiest Man Alive” pick.

In 2017, many commenters disagreed with the outlet choosing country singer Blake Shelton.

“What happened in 2017 bro,” one Twitter user wrote, while another added, “I don’t want to live in a world where Blake Shelton is the Sexiest Man Alive.”

Other past sexy men include Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum and David Beckham.
