Jason Kelce raves about his ‘big deal’ flip-flops: ‘I think they kind of look nice’
Jason Kelce isn’t flip-flopping on his signature shoe.
The NFL star — who famously sports sandals year-round — doubled down on his love for Olukai Mea Ola Sandals ($130) while chatting with Travis Kelce on their “New Heights” podcast Thursday.
“It’s just become a thing now,” he said, when asked why he thinks people “make a big deal” about the style selection.
The Eagles player most recently slid the shoes on for a trip to Disneyland with wife Kylie and their three daughters — a fashion choice his teammates “made sure to point out,” according to Travis.
The comfy kicks have been among Kelce’s game-day staple this season too, even in fall and winter weather.
“These are really quality sandals,” Jason told his brother, noting that he replaced his first pair with “the same exact pair from the same exact company” about two years ago.
“They still offer arch support in them so it’s not just a piece of flat foam,” the Eagles star raved. “It feels good, and I think they kind of look nice.”
When Travis laughingly replied, “I didn’t think you cared about looking nice,” his brother retorted, “If it’s functional, high quality and it looks good, I’m all for it.”
While the football star’s favorite Olukais are dark brown, the shoes come five colors and feature a soft microfiber footbed.
Plenty of reviewers are just as obsessed, as the shoes have a 4.5 star rating on Olukai’s site and over 1,800 reviews praising everything from the “quality and craftsmanship” to the “ultra-comfortable” fit.
“The most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned!” one raved.
With the Super Bowl just days away, perhaps Jason is currently packing his trusty pair to cheer on his brother in Las Vegas.
