‘Helicopter mom’ Lauren Sánchez takes son Nikko skydiving with Orlando Bloom
Lauren Sánchez is giving new meaning to helicopter parenting.
The pilot gave a look at her recent flight via Instagram Thursday as she took her son Nikko skydiving — with Orlando Bloom.
In Sánchez’s footage, she casually flashed peace signs and smiled while manning the aircraft before giving glimpses of her 23-year-old and the “Lord of the Rings” star.
The unlikely duo could be seen chatting behind the former entertainment reporter before crouching at the edge, fist bumping and jumping out.
“I guess you could call me a helicopter mom,” she captioned the social media upload, alongside an emoji of Italy’s flag.
She set the video to Katy Perry’s new song “Lifetimes.”
The pop star — and Bloom’s fiancée of five years — responded in the comments section with heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Kris Jenner commented, “🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” while Khloé Kardashian gushed, “Ugh I love you!!!! 🚁🚁🚁🚁.”
Sánchez obtained her pilot’s license in 2011.
At the time, she was married to Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares son Evan, 18, and daughter Ella, 16.
As for Nikko, Sánchez welcomed him in 2001 with her then-boyfriend, Tony Gonzalez.
The news anchor began dating Jeff Bezos in 2019 and referred to their blended family as the “Brady Bunch” in a 2023 WSJ. magazine interview ahead of their engagement.
The Amazon founder, notably, is the father of four children with ex-wife Mackenzie Scott.
Bezos, 60, is “getting his pilot’s license,” Sánchez revealed last year, noting that they “fly together” and are “together all the time.”
This summer, the duo have been vacationing in Europe, making headlines in June for jet skiing in Greece’s Aegean Sea with Kim Kardashian.
