Former ‘Bachelorette’ Gabby Windey’s fall essentials include ‘grunge’ fashion, ‘dark’ poetry and the ‘perfect’ lip liner
Gabby Windey is a child of the early aughts.
The former “Bachelorette” — who led the ABC dating series alongside Rachel Recchia in 2022’s Season 19 — tells Page Six Style that the seminal decade is defining her fashion choices this fall.
Windey, 33, is elated that brands are “circling back to the ‘90s” as retro staples align with her chosen aesthetic for chillier temperatures, she shares while promoting her partnership with Flamin’ Hot.
“You can lean into your grunge,” she enthuses, also noting that the autumnal vibes are even impacting her current reading material.
“I love to be in my feels,” adds the “Dancing With the Stars” alum, who has been curling up with books by pioneering poet Sylvia Plath. “And fall is the perfect time to really get down and deep.”
From the “perfect brown” lip liner to “functional” — but “chic, duh!” — footwear, shop Windey’s seasonal must-haves below.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Iconic Nude
“Speaks for itself! Charlotte knows what she’s doing with lip liner and all things makeup. It’s the perfect brown and you can dress it up or dress it down. I’ll always smudge a little on my lips before running errands to give me a little color and I am always getting asked to link it on my Instagram!”
Vagabond Alex Loafers
“I broke out my loafers a month ago and it was so good to be back. They’re functional — comfortable for walking around — but chic, duh! — and versatile. Loafers are an easy way to elevate your style and a perfect shoe as fall is falling, while keeping the dogs (toes plz) warm!”
Dorito’s Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch Flavored Tortilla Chips
“The perfect bite packed with a punch! There are so many Flamin’ Hot flavors, but these are my favorite, especially for snacking while rotting on the couch when it’s gloomy out.”
Agolde Low Rise Baggy Jeans
“My favorite are from Agolde, but really any baggy jean will do. You can dress them up or down and they’re stylish, chic and comfortable!”
Revolve Rumi Sweater
“With a white T-shirt underneath, this is my go-to look for fall. They’re comfortable and put together and you can wear them with the aforementioned baggy jean or a cute skirt with tights or honestly whatever you want.”
“The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath
“I only just got into Sylvia Plath — I went to public school, sue me — and I’ve never read or heard someone speak so accurately about mental health and the struggle with it like Plath. She’s a wordsmith and a literal poet. Trigger warning for ‘The Bell Jar’ though, it can get pretty dark.
If you’re like me and process through catharsis, you will love it. It’s currently my all-time favorite book and I’m actively on the hunt for a first edition.”
