Gabrielle Union covers up with just a towel to celebrate 52nd birthday: ‘Grown woman s–t’
Gabrielle Union barely covered her curves with a measly washcloth while celebrating her 52nd birthday.
The “Bring It On” actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of her risqué rinse-off with a strong message about taking another trip around the sun.
“This is 52. This is grown woman s–t,” she captioned the post. “This is being accountable for mess ups.
Being gracious when others mess up. Being open to being wrong and being proud and confident when you are right.”
Union also shared she is all about “loving passionately and unapologetically” and maintaining “clear and firm boundaries.”
“This is sexy. This is audacious. This is fun and full of wild adventures,” she continued. “This is calling a thing a thing and not falling for the Okey Doke and demanding better.”
The “10 Things I Hate About You” star further wrote that she has evolved into someone who can be alone “without being lonely.”
“This is enjoying nature. This is fierce and compassionate motherhood. This is fighting for my people and yours. This is me at 52. Loving ALL of me,” she concluded.
In her birthday post, Union shared several other photos of herself including one mirror selfie where the front of her top was completely undone to show off her cleavage.
Another image showed the brunette beauty posing in a strapless orange bikini on a motorboat while another captured her enjoying a beautiful sunset on the beach.
Union also shared a few videos in her post, including one of her posing in a silver sparkly gown and an interview clip where she gave career advice.
Her husband, Dwyane Wade, took to the comments section to celebrate Union’s D.O.B.
“Happy Birthday Baby❤️❤️❤️,” the former NBA player wrote.
Other stars like Chelsea Handler, Taraji P. Henson, Ciara, La La Anthony, Tina Knowles and Olivia Munn also celebrated the actress in the comment section.
On Sunday, Wade surprised his wife with a birthday brunch at Casadonna in Miami before the unveiling ceremony of his Heat Statue.
“Even though the weekend was about Dwyane, he still found a way to celebrate his queen,” an insider exclusively told Page Six earlier this week.
The source added that Union was “completely surprised” to find friends and family waiting to celebrate her “right before her husband was about to have one of the biggest moments of his life.”
We’re told the group ate in the eatery’s private dining room where Union was treated to a big birthday cake.
Union and Wade, who dated on and off since 2009 and tied the knot in 2014, share a 5-year-old daughter named Kaavia.
The pro baller also has two children — Zaire, 22, and Zaya, 17 — with Siohvaughn Funches and one child — 10-year-old Xavier —with Aja Metoyer. He also obtained custody of his nephew, Dahveon Morris, in 2011.
