This $290 keychain from Harry Styles’ JW Anderson collaboration is making fans blush
Harry Styles is riding a fine line.
The “Watermelon Sugar” singer, 30, announced on Wednesday that he’s joined forces between his Pleasing brand and JW Anderson for an eye-popping capsule collection with some risqué pieces.
The collaboration, now available to shop, includes new metallic nail polishes and Pleasing’s signature crewneck and hoodie sweatshirts, as well as high-fashion pieces by namesake designer Jonathan Anderson.
Elsewhere in the collection is a new version of the viral JW Anderson patchwork cardigan Styles wore in 2021, sparking a frenzy among fans who rushed to knit their own versions. Instead of color blocking, however, the new style includes a shoulder full of balloons ($890).
However, it’s a nearly-$300 keychain that really set fans alight as the tiny bedazzled piece takes on a phallic shape.
“This sparkly leather keyring is a bold and playful accessory crafted from durable leather in a striking silhouette,” the website states, adding that the shape “brings a touch of whimsy.”
Fans certainly were agog at the bold accessory. “pleasing has lost their damn minds,” one fan tweeted.
“300????? bro i wouldn’t pay that much for a real thing,” one person joked.
This isn’t the first time that the “Don’t Worry Darling” actor has worn his private parts on his sleeve.
His 2021 Grammys performance look went viral, thanks to his Gucci leather suit and feather boa, but the superstar hid a naughty detail in his necklace; at first glance the tiny charm appears to be a banana, but it actually was a phallic shape.
And it appears he’s kept it ever since as eagle-eyed fans may be able to spot it paired with his ever-present gold cross necklace in an image shared with Anderson pouring over mockups of their designs.
Indeed a sense of humor is behind a lot of Styles’ memorable looks, and was at the forefront of the partnership with Anderson.
“JW Anderson has always been at the top of our list for collaboration,” Pleasing creative director (and Styles’ personal stylist) Harry Lambert told Vogue of the designer, who also holds the helm at Loewe.
“It felt like such a perfect mash-up of brands. [Harry and I] both love Jonathan’s aesthetic and the humor and joy shown within JW Anderson collections is something that really resonates with Pleasing,” he added. “Their use of illustrations, color, and emotion are so linked to Pleasing.”
