Ariana Grande has done it again.

Channeling the original on-screen Glinda, played by Billie Burke in 1939, Grande slipped into an intricately embellished long-sleeved pink couture gown from the storied Givenchy archives.

Grande, with the help of her stylist Law Roach, has had many historically significant fashion moments, but perhaps few as iconic as this one.

Not only is this pink gown pulled from the Givenchy archives, but it’s the very final dress to walk the runway during the very final show presented by Hubert de Givenchy himself.

In December 1995, Givenchy took his final bow, arm-in-arm with the model, Angelica Boss, during the fall Couture show.

The gown features a simple Givenchy-signature silhouette with a slightly nipped-in waist and flowing, gathered skirt. The long sleeves are slightly puffed and the neckline is dramatically scooped.

The pink silk is covered in intricately placed ribbon, giving the gown an interesting physical texture as well.

On the runway, Boss wore an oversized pink satin bow in her hair, which cascaded down her back, peppered with pink roses that matched her bouquet.

Though Grande chose to wear her hair up in a ballet bun, she, too, accessorized with pink flowers throughout the slicked-back style.

Law posted a slideshow of images, including the original sketch from Givenchy, plus a few videos from the 1995 couture show and still photos of Grande wearing the dress today.

In the caption, the image architect wrote, “Ari wearing the Final look from Mr Hubert Givenchy’s final Haute Couture Collection FW/1995 Thank you team @givenchy and special thanks to Sarah Burton for granting me access to the archives 💕💕💕.”

During the “Wicked: For Good” press tour, Grande has made fabulous use of fashion archives from around the globe.

Recently, the singer has worn a voluminous gown and a sleek caped dress, both created by “The Wizard of Oz” costume director, Gilbert Adrian. For the NBC Wicked concert special, she stepped out in a glittering vintage Bob Mackie look. She even chose a labelless vintage design from 1950 for an appearance in Paris earlier this month.

While the “Wicked: For Good” press tour is finally coming to an end, we have a feeling that Grande’s celebration of vintage and historical fashion is just getting started.
