Patti Lupone is famous for dressing down audience members at her shows.

But apparently she’ll take matters into her own hands when she’s there to watch the show as well

Page Six has learned that the Broadway legend “cornered” an unruly patron at show that wasn’t even hers and gave them the Full Lupone.

Spies say that “Gypsy” star was at the Duke on 42nd Street this weekend catching Drew Droege’s buzz-making “Messy White Gays,” and we’re told a woman in the audience “seemed more primed for a bachelorette party than off-Broadway.”

Apparently the offending attendee peppered more than half the one-act show’s runtime with “an inebriated cavalcade of four-letter words” and a cackled “Yes b*tch!”

After the show, we’re told La LuPone “cornered” the unsuspecting loudmouth, telling her: “Never go to the theater again!”

Our spies tell us the lady “quailed under the diva’s stony gaze and apologized.”

Lupone’s summary justice is legend.

In 2009 the three-time Tony-winner stopped mid-song in “Gypsy” to yell at someone snapping pictures with a cell phone, and she’s snatched phones out of the hands of audience members on many an occasion.

She’s even said that the advent of iPhones has led her to consider leaving the stage altogether.

“It isn’t changing, it’s only getting worse,” she said in a statement after one of her phone-confiscating moments. “And it takes, it’s stressful. It’s incredibly stressful. So, I will think twice before I sign another Broadway contract. I really will.”

The show has been a big hit not just with gay icons like Lupone but with actual gays.

Cheyenne Jackson, Jeff Hiller, Michael Urie, Bowen Yang, Matt Rogers, Chris Colfer, Todrick Hall, Bryan Safi and even tech billionaire Peter Thiel (who is mentioned in the show) have made it to the Duke to catch it.

A rep for Lupone didn’t get back to us.
