Jason Kelce on beard care, life after football and his New Year’s resolutions: ‘Dry January is out of the question’

Jason Kelce has plenty of 2026 goals — just not the kind that involve yellow goalposts.

The retired football star shared his New Year’s resolutions with Page Six Style exclusively this week, saying he’s been “finding a new kind of balance” since leaving the NFL in 2024.

“Football was my life for the past 13 years, and it still is, but the possibilities are endless for what will consume the next decade of my life,” the “New Heights” co-host explained, while promoting his recent partnership with Ole Smoky Distillery.

Among Kelce’s current options? Trading football fields for country clubs to “continue working on” his golf swing — a fitting goal, given his recent holiday gift guide with the brand includes Leatherology’s Golf Essentials Gift Set.

As he tees off the new year, the former Philadelphia Eagles center is also planning on “cutting back on processed foods” and bringing his cooking skills to new heights with present picks like the Blackstone Original 36-Inch Griddle, Traeger Flatrock Griddle and RTIC Ultra-Tough Cooler. (For bringing the latter on family camping trips, he’s also eyeing Core’s 12-Person Tent.)

And while Kelce says he “[plans] to really dial in on what I put into my body,” he’s still leaving room for indulgences here and there.

“Dry January is out of the question, but kick-starting a healthier lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to cut out alcohol entirely,” he explains. “To lighten things up, I’ll pair Ole Smoky’s Blackberry Moonshine with club soda.”

The bearded star is embracing self-care in other areas as well; his gift suggestions also include Manscaped’s The Beard Hedger Pro Kit. (Although if you’re shopping for the holidays, the brand’s Beard Hedger Advanced Kit on Amazon will still ship in time.)

“A great beard doesn’t just happen — it requires some upkeep and the right tools,” Kelce said in a press release with Ole Smoky.

His facial hair isn’t the only thing he plans to keep spick-and-span; the self-proclaimed “‘push the dirt under the rug’ kind of guy” tells us he’s also going to “get serious about keeping the house tidy” in 2026.

But at the end of the day, he says there’s “nothing more important” than spending time with his wife, Kylie Kelce, and their four daughters.

“I’m all about prioritizing our time together, making new memories and more dad jokes,” he says.

“Now that I’m retired, my goal is to be there for all the special moments I can, from bedtime stories and tea parties to date nights.”
